Which gapps for nook color

If there are any issues with the installation of Gapps on your Nook Color please let us know so that we can adjust the instructions as needed. We have tested this and have had a flawless experience each time so this should be rather straight forward. I have been interested in Android from the moment the first devices were released. I love the fact that its such a widely accepted mobile OS and that I can be a large part of the community as a whole. Thanks for your prompt reply and link correction.

There is another article for installing gapps on the Nook after this process. Above the related posts on this page there is a link to the gapps article. Please tell me how I can install apps other than just what came with CM9. I even tried to install apps through the browser but although they say I will download the app nothing ever happens and the download app comes up empty.

Noobie here. I downloaded the gapps zip and dragged it to the sd card. CM9 including wifi previously determined to be working…thanks! I inserted the card with the zipped gapps file into the nook and asked it to boot into recovery mode. It simply reboots. I never get any option that allows me to install the zipped file from the sd card.

So I decided to see if I could get a later version of Android for it A few hours later, after finding good instructions, I've installed Android 7. This turned out to be so easy, I couldn't believe it. I spent some time searching the forums here, but didn't find anything referring to this one Originally Posted by Ghod.

The Nook OS isn't replaced, exactly, just bypassed. The entire reason I found myself looking up a more recent version of Android, was that the Nook OS somehow ran an update, which appears to have broken the Kitkat installation.

So, no, I think it's the Android version that mattered. The hardest part was making sure I had all the correct files gapps, TWRP, that sort of thing ; the actual installation process was easy. It runs great, very smooth. I did it. Except It is now stuck in a boot loop. When I turn it off it restarts again in a few seconds What do I do? Last edited by Gardenman; at PM.

I haven't been using mine for the last couple of weeks, but that's just because I managed to mislay my charger. The charger is due tomorrow, and the tablet on Monday.
