So, how is the game on Easy? Is it too easy or is it easy only if you learn the game mechanics? I started on hard and it was pretty easy for the most part, bumped it down to normal just because I thought it might've made the one race you have to complete a little easier.
Didn't seem to make a difference, but I forgot to bump it back up to hard. It's got it's moments of difficulty until you get upgrades and abilities, then it becomes quite easy. I'd imagine easy would be really easy. User Info: vonVolik. Definitely get this game, really fun shooter. As far as difficulty, easy should be a cake walk. I have been playing on normal, and the only times I have run into issues is because I played idiotically, or on occasion I have run into a mini boss that has required a second attempt, needed to learn the weak spots, and attacks.
Growing up trolls lived under bridges, now they live in their Mom's basement. User Info: Giarccpsn. Easy is easy, you can breeze through it. I haven't killed the final Boss yet. User Info: Fiach. Brad suggested playing on Hard and he was gosh danged right. I was so glad I listened to him since usually I play on Normal since that should be what the dev's Normaly view as what a Normal player should experience, and I don't have time for Hard.
Not to spoil anything but you will definitely appreciate a higher difficulty later on in the game Please Log In to post. The last mission is a doddle; you only need the pulse cannon and the authority mg - plus take as many sentry bots as you can - they are far more effective than the turrets, and keep spamming new ones as soon as they die. Posted by Jodmeister on 26 Jun 12 at This game's nightmare mode is a joke, really -- if you breezed normal you'll breeze nightmare, too. Ignore all side missions except for hanging onto all of your feltrite from the beginning of the game, so you can insta-finish Jacob's quest in the Wellspring bar to get the defib charge enhancement, otherwise beeline from story mission to story mission.
Spam EMP grenades at the Authority because they basically equal HE grenades in effectiveness against them and will fuck them up real good and spam wingsticks at everything else, and this will be a breeze. I did not bother with engineering anything besides wingsticks, bandages, and the occasional lock grinder.
Work on maxing out Av2x rounds for the Authority MG, so that by the time you find it in the Shrouded bunker you'll be on easy street. The final mission is all advanced wingsticks and the pulse cannon you get from Portman, the ammo for it is spammed all over the level and nothing can withstand more than 6 shots from it. Don't bother with the plasma ball thing it does, though -- takes far too long to charge and reload.
Posted by Mobius Evalon on 11 Sep 12 at I used the mini games to make a lot of money. After you got the rocket launcher It's Alive buy max ammo and this is a walk through the park. There isn't too much difference between the different difficulties except that you will take more damage from enemies. There will still be the same amount of enemies on every difficulty, however, and you will still deal the same amount of damage to them.
Overall I would rate the campaign difficulty a 4. What bothers me is that I find it means I really need to use the Phoenix to help me kill. Like when killing enemies along the road, or when approaching bases or enemy camps.
I means I am loosing out on collecting Feltrite, because I am using car for enemy kills. Whereas if I played on Hard, it would swing things my way. I also die quite a lot. I remember dying in the original Rage, so it feels normal to die.
I have also heard that Rage 2 gets easier as you upgrade. That makes me think I should continue playing on Nightmare. Showing 1 - 15 of 35 comments. Keep in mind, on release there was a difficulty bug that set the game to easy. Supposedly this has been fixed. Pantherr View Profile View Posts. For me nightmare was very hard in the beginning but after you get some powers and upgrades it gets easier.
